Wind Sock Socks are made from 73% GOTS Organic cotton, 25% ECONYL regenerated nylon and 2% elastane.

GOTS which stands for The Global Organic Textile Standard, is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent third-party certification of the entire textile supply chain.

The ECONYL regeneration system is based on sustainable chemistry: with this industrial process, the nylon contained in waste, such as carpets, fabrics scraps fishing nets and others, is transformed back into raw material without any loss of quality. Regeneration is the process of brings material back to its original state whilst recycling often means downcycling where some of the original textile can be lost. Regeneration provides a fibre that is as versatile as new nylon.

Wind Sock Socks donates part of it's profit to Healthy Seas initiative.  Healthy Seas uses this money for prevention, education, and the continuous recovery of old fishing nets. Since 2013, the Healthy Seas initiative has already recovered more than 500,000 kilo fishing nets. That is how they are making a difference together and how you can minimise your ecological footprint on our planet with such little effort.

Healthy Seas Socks also takes a stand in the worldwide improvement of working conditions in the textile industry. Together with its parent company, Healthy Seas Socks is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation. As a Fair Wear member, Star Sock guarantees that their socks are made with good working conditions and for fair pay.

Currently we unfortunately only have size 41-46. This is because providing custom socks for a realistic price can only be done in large batches. We would really like to produce smaller sizes including possibly kids, baby or sports socks but this can only be done when enough people are interested.
